What will we watch: a time-tested classic or a novelty? We help to understand the flow of prime ministers.
The MatrixJust think, since the premiere of the first "Matrix", it has been 20 years already! A whole new generation of viewers grew up, and the directors - the Wachowski brothers - managed to become sisters. This film gained cult status by presenting an innovative and frighteningly prophetic look at the future of human civilization, and many (including Ilona Mask) made him seriously doubt the reality of our world.
This year, the creators of the trilogy announced the upcoming shootings of the fourth part of the franchise, so re-renting the film on the big screen is very useful: someone needs to refresh their memory, and someone needs to get acquainted with the tape.
Maleficent: Mistress of Darkness (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil)The rethought adaptation of the classic fairy tale with Angelina Jolie wonderfully falling into the image became one of the major successes at Disney in 2014. It was not possible to resist the sequel: after the sorceress managed to save the goddaughter from her own spell, the lights happily lived for several years in their native swamps. Aurora blossomed, became an enviable bride and, of course, received an offer from her prince. That's just the future "mother-in-law" categorically against marriage. Not out of harm?
The second part of the fairy tale, despite 6+, turned out to be not childishly harsh: the main villain really gestures, and most of the film is mochilovo, which would clearly look juicier with a rating of R. The tape pleases in scope and excellent graphics, and most importantly, constantly keeps in tension, promptly throwing another plot somersault. Children and adolescents will definitely stop by, but adults will probably note that the scriptwriters do not care about logic and motivation, and in the end they completely let go of the brakes for the sake of a good ending.
JudyThe biopic of stars is now in trend. Rupert Gould takes the baton with honor to give out a new flawless fighter in the Oscar race. This tape does not describe the whole life of the legendary Judy Garland, but the last year of her vibrant biography. The peak of career and fame in the past, health is undermined, money runs out. She is making a desperate attempt to make money on tour: to play a series of concerts and perform with her 18-year-old daughter in Palladium. Judy is intriguing, swears with the theater management, flirts with musicians, captivates fans ... Unaware that this tour will be the last ...
Renee Zellweger, it seemed, tightly stuck in the image of Bridget Jones, managed to catch one of the main roles of her career: her Judy Garland is clearly worthy of the cherished statuette of the Film Academy. Going to a session is a pleasure for everyone, the duty of a movie fan and, in some way, a sign of good taste.
Thought wolfValeria Gai Germanika has already established herself as a talented director with a non-trivial approach, and her work will inevitably arouse public interest. A few years ago, she wrote a song of the same name for the group "Meaningful Hallucinations" and shot a video. The idea did not let go and grew into a full-length fantasy noir.
Mother and daughter live in a hut somewhere near St. Petersburg, surrounded by gloomy forests - where, they say, a terrible werewolf roams ... Germanica in her special, somewhat hooligan manner plays with the genre and form, giving out an ambiguous, but certainly original author's movie .
They (Haunt)Harper has a gloomy Halloween: she received in the eye from her inadequate lover. But girlfriends persistently drag to hang out in a club. There, girls get acquainted with the company of guys and spontaneously decide to go play a thematic quest, which suddenly turns out to be too realistic ...
When creating their film, Scott Beck and Brian Woods did not try to invent something like that, presenting the audience a solid classic horror with a thoughtful plot, characters and situations. True, explaining the motivation of the main character through a hackneyed childhood injury is too commonplace. But reliable. Like a brick. However, from this tape the viewer is guaranteed to receive the whole complex of sensations, for which horror films exist.
OK Lexi! (Jexi)The main character, Phil, is an ordinary layman, mired in routine and not crawling out of a smartphone: dull work, social networks, ordering food using Siri ... But once the center of his universe is smashed to smithereens. Phil buys a new handset with experimental software called Lexi. An extraordinary assistant turns the guy's life around: new impressions, friends and even a girl ... But Lexi is too humane. She does not want to share the owner with his passion and uses up all the power of artificial intelligence to destroy his relationship.
There is a feeling that John Lucas and Scott Moore decided to mold Frankenstein from the successful finds of their colleagues (the main idea was clearly stolen from the drama “She”), time-tested cliches and selected beautiful things. It turned out plastic banality at one time.
