Hello dear Treshbox users. As you all know, recently, on our favorite site, a contest
was held with the support of Philips
, in which I managed to take 1st place. Yesterday, June 22, my prize arrived to me by courier - the Philips BT2500B wireless speaker. Everyone who is interested to know what it is like to invite to cat.
So, I suggest starting with packaging. The column arrived in the box in the photo above.
Turning the box over on the other side, we can see our column through a transparent window.
I want to say that the box is made of high quality cardboard and is quite durable. The column also holds well and does not hang out, which eliminates the possibility of damage during transportation.
Well, now it's time to open this very box. Frankly, only after some manipulations I hardly managed to pick out a column from a transparent "wrapper". Below you can see the complete set of a fully unpacked audio system. It includes the column itself, wiring for charging via USB, quick start and use guides, warranty card and various certificates. The only drawback was the lack of a wire for connecting via Audio In, but for me this is insignificant since I mainly use wireless communication, and I have a cord.

I was very pleased with the microphone, I already managed to talk to him, the interlocutor hears everything perfectly.Design and materials
The speaker is made of durable plastic, the speaker grill is made of metal, on it, exactly in the center, is the Philips logo, the volume wheel in my opinion is made of aluminum. The build quality is excellent, nothing loosens, creaks, hangs.
Under the grill on the left is an LED that has several modes of operation. When searching, Bluetooth flashes blue, when working through the Audio In or Bluetooth output, it turns blue, if you charge it, you will see red color, when the battery level is low, the diode flashes red periodically. On the right, under a kind of crossbar, for which, by the way, you can hang the column there is an aluminum volume control wheel.
On the rear surface of the column is a rubber ring that is designed to prevent sliding on a smooth surface.
On the top of the column, we can see a slider for choosing the column's operating mode, there are three of them: work through Audio In, Bluetooth and off state, respectively. Nearby is a small button designed to answer phone calls.
On the left side there is a USB charging port, an Audio In connector and a microphone hole.
This item was of most interest. The speaker volume is excellent. In a three-room apartment at maximum volume, the sound goes everywhere) I would like to note the balanced sound, there is no exhaustion of bass, mid or high frequencies, everything is as it should out of the box, although, to be honest, I played a little with the equalizer to adjust the sound to my ears and to your music. Another undoubted advantage is the anti-clipping technology, thanks to it there are no wheezing and other extraneous overtones at maximum volume.
To demonstrate the sound, I suggest you to watch the video, you won’t hear all the charm of the sound, but the idea of how it really should be.
Yesterday I was able to test the battery. At maximum volume when working via Bluetooth, my speaker gave out 4 and a half hours, after which I started asking for charging, I couldn’t discharge it that way, but I think that it would work the stated 5 hours.
I am very pleased with this column. With its small size, it produces a loud and high-quality sound. Thanks to her, my pastime has become much more fun. It's always nice to ride a bike across the field when your favorite music is literally “yelling” behind you. In conclusion, I want to once again thank the administration of trashbox.ru and Philips for the competition in which I managed to participate.
