Traditionally, every week on Treshbox a fresh selection is published with applications that have recently been released on the Android platform. In this issue:
Tinycards - learn foreign words with cards. Duolingo, a well-known service for learning foreign languages, has released a new free application for Android devices. It differs from the “full-fledged” Duolingo program by the training method: Tinycards implements the Leitner system - the same material is repeated until the user remembers it. Foreign words along with the corresponding pictures are shown on the cards, which turns the study of English or any other language into a kind of game. All cards are divided into categories, so you can learn only the right words: on the subject of geography, history, art or even “Game of Thrones”.
Xiaomi's multifunctional calculator is now available for all devices. Most manufacturers preinstall proprietary applications in their firmware, and the Chinese company Xiaomi is one of them. The calculator from the MIUI shell has long remained an exclusive only for the manufacturer’s branded smartphones, but now anyone can install it. This calculator stands out among others with rich functionality. In addition to performing standard mathematical operations, the application can display the exchange rate, convert values, calculate trigonometric functions and calculate the mortgage.
FeedlyReader is a convenient third-party client for Feedly. Feedly’s RSS service is familiar to many, but its Android client is not very convenient: it doesn’t have some functions, and you cannot read your favorite article inside the application. There are no minuses of the official client in FeedlyReader. This application allows you to read articles and news without going to the browser, cache unread materials for offline access to them, manage entries using files, and add new news sources. Despite its rich functionality, the program works even on older versions of Android.
Mixer Create is a mobile client of the popular streaming service. A new application from Microsoft allows you to stream games from a mobile device, but this is not the only function. Unlike analogues, the mobile Mixer Create is equipped with full functionality of computer versions. With this application, the user can join other streamers, chat with their viewers and even edit the channel. Mobile Mixer Create can also be used as a messenger - it is useful if you stream the game from the computer.
AntiSocial helps determine which applications you spend the most time on. Dependence on mobile gadgets is becoming a serious problem that needs to be addressed. AntiSocial will not only allow you to block applications after a certain time, like most analogues, but also show detailed statistics on the use of installed programs and games. Thanks to this, it will become extremely clear to the user what he spends the most time on and what programs need to be removed.
