The Dell Venue 10 Pro 5055 is a Windows tablet aimed at a wide range of consumers: from those who use the tablet as an entertainment gadget to those who need a good alternative to a laptop. As for the latter, the Dell Venue 10 Pro 5055 you can buy a stylus and a portable keyboard for greater ease of use.

If you want to use the Dell Venue 10 Pro 5055 as a full-fledged laptop, you better buy optional accessories such as a keyboard, stylus, and case. And if you can do without a stylus and a cover, then you can’t go anywhere without a keyboard.
Dell Venue 10 Pro 5055 got a strict appearance: the case is made of dark matte plastic, the fringing is made of rubberized material for ease of use - the tablet will definitely not slip out of your hands.
In general, the Venue 10 Pro 5055 turned out to be rather overall and heavy: the body thickness is a little quite 9.9 mm, weight is about 650 grams.
On the rear panel is a camera lens, an LED-sensor for network activity, and the Dell logo is located in the center of the case. Judging by the official video, the LED sensor will help the teacher in the audience understand if you are currently using the Internet. I think for many generations of students who have filled bumps and calluses on the fingers of a pen, such delights will seem at least strange.
On the front side there is nothing remarkable: the 10.8-inch display is edged with a black frame about 1 cm thick and is covered with protective glass, and a peephole of the front camera is located above the display.
On the right side are the control buttons. Unfortunately, they are buried in a rubberized frame, so you have to push it for a reaction. Behind the Windows button, there is a microSD card slot and a lock compatible with Noble Lock, and just below the speaker grill.
On the left are a 3.5 mm audio output, volume rocker, microUSB port, micro HDMI and a full-format USB port.
At the top is a small power button.
The docking keyboard is connected using special connectors located at the bottom.
The Dell Venue 10 Pro 5055 is available in HD and FullHD display resolutions. Our screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels with an IPS matrix is provided with wide viewing angles, good color reproduction and fairly high contrast, i.e. with rich colors.
In general, no matter how you use the tablet: as entertainment or for work, picture quality and display brightness will be enough for comfortable work.
As I mentioned earlier, stereo speakers are located on the side ends of the tablet: they provide a loud and clear sound, but there is a minus in the arrangement - in landscape orientation, you will cover them with your palms.
A 1.2 MP front camera will provide you with an image during video chat; but to shoot on it does not make sense, the maximum resolution of video recording is 720p.
The main camera received 5 megapixels, which is also quite modest, but still we are talking about a tablet, not a smartphone, so we can forgive such a camera resolution.
The maximum video recording resolution is 1080p.
The Venue 10 Pro 5055 runs on a 4-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor with a clock speed of 1, 33 GHz, with the possibility of increasing to 1, 83 GHz in Boost mode.
The graphics are Intel HD Graphics with a clock frequency of 646 MHz.
Games start, but as you would expect, 3D games go very poorly, with slowdowns and freezes.
In general, Intel Atom is much slower and more “thoughtful” than tablets running on Core processors, so you should understand that if you want a tablet for working with heavy programs, then the Dell Venue 10 Pro 5055 is not suitable for you.
But the Venue 10 Pro 5055 low power consumption and battery life is enough for a decent battery life.
Venue 10 Pro 5055 is a good device for various purposes: work with light programs, entertainment or training.
The processor and battery should be enough for a whole day of comfortable working with an office suite, light games, surfing the Internet and watching movies.
Final rating: 6 out of 10.
